Child Protection
Our Approach
The child protection situation in North-East Nigeria continues to deteriorate due to rising concerns such as violence against children (VAC), trafficking, child marriage, children associated with armed groups (CAAG), unaccompanied and separated children (UASC), and the growing number of street children.
These issues are exacerbated by a weak social welfare workforce, harmful social norms, recurring communal conflicts, and inadequate funding. As a result, many children and their communities are left with no choice but to adopt harmful coping mechanisms.
Strategic Objective
Enhance timely access to preventive and high-quality response services for at-risk children and families, with a focus on boys, girls, adolescents, and children with disabilities.

What We Do
- Provide case management for unaccompanied and at-risk children
- Offer structured play, recreation, and life skills for adolescents
- Support caregivers with parenting classes and cash assistance
- Promote child rights through youth-led advocacy platforms
Our Impact
- More children accessing quality care and protection
- Safer communities through positive parenting and social norms
- Stronger, better-equipped social workers and partners
- We protect childhoods—so every child can thrive.
